Bob Hyland, MSW, JD
Bob holds a Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and worked as a Child Protection Worker in Chicago and Hennepin County for eighteen years. Bob graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in May of 2005 and was admitted to the Minnesota Bar in October of 2005. Bob clerked for the Honorable Judge Heidi Schellas before accepting a position as a Mediator/Evaluator with Hennepin County Family Court Services in 2007. Bob co-founded Regroup Mediation in 2019 where he has worked full-time as a Mediator/ Evaluator since January of 2022.
Over the course of Bob’s thirty years working with hundreds of complex families experiencing separation, high conflict, chemical dependency, mental health issues and family violence, he has earned the respect of colleagues and the Bench with his experience, knowledge, compassion, and creative problem solving. Bob has dedicated his career to making family life better for children and parents and has represented children in Ramsey County Family Court as a volunteer Attorney with the Children’s Law Center for ten years.
